507 PointsI'm not sure what is missing?
Does anyone see what is missing in my equals method the preview says I'm correct but my work isn't accepted?
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
if (firstExample.equals("secondExample")) {
console.printf("first is equal to second");
System.exit (0);
}
String thirdExample = "HELLO";

I hope this can hlep you.
if (firstExample.equals("secondExample")) {
//compare the value of the variable firstExample with the string "secondExample"
}
if (firstExample.equals(secondExample)) {
//compare the value of the variable firstExample with the value of the variable secondExample

Courses Plus Student 94,610 PointsHi Stevano,
You have to take the quotes off of "secondExample" so that it's treated as a variable and not a string.
You also have to take out System.exit(). It wasn't asked for in the instructions and it will keep the test from passing.
