469 PointsIm not seeing a syntax error? I need help
It says something about a compiler error, and that I need to check my syntax. What?
class GoKart {
public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
private String color;
private int barCount;
private int lapsDriven;
public GoKart(String color) {
this.color = color;
}
public String getColor() {
return color;
}
public void charge() {
barCount = MAX_BARS;
}
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return barCount == 0;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged() {
return MAX_BARS == barCount;
}
public void drive() {
drive(1);
}
public void drive(int laps) {
if(laps > barCount) {
throw new IllegalArgumentException("Not enough energy bars!");
}
lapsDriven += laps;
barCount -= laps;
}

Treehouse TeacherHi there, Carolyn Alberti! You're doing terrific, but somehow an ending closing curly brace is missing from your code. The drive
method is part of the class and it has an ending closing curly brace, but the Class
is missing its closing curly brace.
This is the error:
./GoKart.java:36: error: reached end of file while parsing
And this error is generally indicative of a missing closing curly brace at the end. Adding a }
to the end of your code causes it to pass the challenge!
Hope this helps!
