I'm not getting it the same result in the video?

this is my code

public class Example { public static void main(String[] args) { // Your amazing code goes here... System.out.println("We are a making a new Pez Dispenser."); PezDispenser dispenser = new PezDispenser("Yoda"); System.out.printf("The dispenser character is %s\n", dispenser.getCharacterName());

  if (dispenser.isEmpty()) {
    System.out.println("It is currently empty");
  }
  System.out.println("Loading...");
  dispenser.load();
  if (!dispenser.isEmpty()) {
   System.out.println("It is no longer empty");
  }
  while (dispenser.dispense()) {
    System.out.println("Chomp!");
  }
  if (dispenser.isEmpty()) {
    System.out.println("Ate all the PEZ!");
  }
  dispenser.load(4);
  dispenser.load(2);
  while (dispenser.dispense()) {
    System.out.println("Chomp!");
  }
  dispenser.load(400);
  System.out.println("This will never happen");
}

}

public class PezDispenser { public static final int MAX_PEZ = 12; private String mCharacterName; private int mPezCount; public PezDispenser(String characterName) { mCharacterName = characterName; mPezCount = 0; } public boolean dispense() { boolean wasDispensed = false; if (!isEmpty()) { mPezCount--; wasDispensed = true; } return wasDispensed; } public boolean isEmpty() { return mPezCount == 0; } public void load() { load(MAX_PEZ); } public void load(int pezAmount) { int newAmount = mPezCount + pezAmount if(newAmount > MAX_PEZ) { throw new IllegalArgumentException("Too many PEZ!!!!"); } mPezCount = newAmount; } public String getCharacterName() { return mCharacterName; } }

this is my result when I put it in

The dispenser character is Yoda
It is currently empty
Loading...
It is no longer empty
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Chomp!
Ate all the PEZ!

in the video theres supposed to be more chomps and a exception error but I'm not getting anything. I followed the video step by step, so I'm confused.

Given the code above, it looks like you're missing a class closing bracket in Example.java. Additionally, a line-ending semi-colon is missing after

int newAmount = mPezCount + pezAmount; <--

in PezDispenser.java

Hope this helps.

public class Example {

public static void main(String[] args) {
    // Your amazing code goes here...
    System.out.println("We are a making a new Pez Dispenser.");
    PezDispenser dispenser = new PezDispenser("Yoda");
    System.out.printf("The dispenser character is %s\n", dispenser.getCharacterName());

  if (dispenser.isEmpty()) {
    System.out.println("It is currently empty");
  }
  System.out.println("Loading...");
  dispenser.load();
  if (!dispenser.isEmpty()) {
   System.out.println("It is no longer empty");
  }
  while (dispenser.dispense()) {
    System.out.println("Chomp!");
  }
  if (dispenser.isEmpty()) {
    System.out.println("Ate all the PEZ!");
  }
  dispenser.load(4);
  dispenser.load(2);
  while (dispenser.dispense()) {
    System.out.println("Chomp!");
  }
  try {
    dispenser.load(400);
   System.out.println("This will never happen");
  } catch (IllegalArgumentException iae) {
    System.out.println("whoa there!");
    System.out.printf("There error was:  &s\n", iae.getMessage());
  }

}

}

That fixed that problem the other code is the same, but I changed the code towards the bottom and its supposed to be displaying that the error was "Too many Pez!!!!" but it doesn't.

It does the 12 chomps then it says "Ate all the Pez" then does the 6 more chomps I was looking for which was good, but when it displays the error it just says "The error was: &s" its not displaying "Too many Pez!!!!!" like its supposed to and I can't figure out why.

Ahh, I see, the ampersand(&) should be a percent(%) sign.

System.out.printf("There error was:  %s\n", iae.getMessage());

Hope that helps.
