Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 4,685 PointsI'm new to the tech field and looking at it as a second career. Should I be worried about A.I. replacing developers ?
I am looking to switch careers and willing to invest in my education. The more I wade into the tech field the more I hear about A.I. getting very good at writing code without the user needing much understanding of logic and syntax. Is it probable that these tools will make the job of "web developer" obsolete in the near future? Looking for guidance as I'm am unfamiliar with the nuances of the tech field.

If you just need a website, it's basically for free. There are tons of templates and website builders like Wix or Squarespace. Use any of these - they save a lot of time. Yet, what if you want something really custom? What if you need original logic? Etc. Prices of custom websites can be around 100 000 - 200 000 easily.
Also, I wouldn't box myself as a "web developer". Think of yourself as a software engineer who can do whatever is in demand and/or what you prefer - whether it's front-end or back-end or AI. If suddenly the world needs no web developers, you can quickly adopt as you already know how to code. At least I try to think of this way.
