private String tiles;
public ScrabblePlayer() {

}
public String getTiles() {
return tiles;
}
public void addTile(char tile) {
tiles += tile;
}
public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
return tiles.indexOf(tile) != -1;
}
public int getCountOfLetter(char letter) {
int counter = 0;
for (char letters : tiles.toCharArray()) {
if (letter.indexOf(tiles) != -1)

752 PointsWhere do initialise the counter variable?
I tried initializing it within the for loop, that didn't work.
''' public int getCountOfLetter(char letter) { for (char letters : tiles.toCharArray()) { int counter; if (letters == letter) { counter ++; } } return counter;
} '''
Edit - ok, I fixed it. I had to initialize the variable outside of the method.
