3,692 PointsI'm getting "Oops! It looks like Task 1 is no longer passing." and I haven't touched import random since task 1.
how can task 1 start failing when all I did was add the correct code to test the odd or even portion, I've checked that against other questions in the forums it seems this task is bugged or something, at least not returning the correct error.
import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
while start:
test = random.randint(1, 99)
if even_odd(test):
print("{} is even").format(test)
else:
print("{} is odd").format(test)
start -= 1

16,114 PointsI’ll offer a suggestion though I don’t know it’ll help the particular problem..
“While start” what?

3,692 PointsGah, yep, basic syntax error. Thank you Alex!!
Oh and for your first question, it's an implied while start [== truethy]: ie not 0.
it's one of my favorite parts of python
