I'm getting lost in tree house.

I just started the web development track with it is very interesting to learn about html css and java script. but I'm getting lost. Some times there is a assessment during the course. I did this once but then there where a lot of exercises where I had no knowledge about.

Yesterday I did some kind of exam and there where a lot of questions about html forms. I did follow the track treehouse presents and I already reached java script basics. but all the questions about html forms I could not answer. and I cant find the material in the track I did.

it is not really motivating that when I'm following the track treehouse presents and when I have to do an exam / answer a list of questions to find out that a lot of stuff I didn't got and I'm getting the feeling that im not doing it wright.

what I'm I doing wrong? ore what don't I understand?

Hi Jasper,

I'm going to assume you mean 'assessments' that appear with some of the Tracks on the website. I know the 'Full Stack Javascript' track has one. I believe these are there to test your knowledge before you start a track to start you at the right place relevant to your own skills and knowledge about the material you might already have.

As far as I am aware these are in beta and still being tested. My recommendation would be to ignore them and continue working through the track as best as you can. Over time you'll learn more and more about HTML, CSS and JavaScript and things won't be as frustrating as you think.

If you find yourself getting frustrated and annoyed I recommend to 'keep calm and carry on'.

Hope this helps.

thanks Ryan for your quick answer.

because of you answer was taking a further look in side the track and there is a whole chapter about forms later on. So much thanks! I really thought I was not taking enough notes during the course.

in the library there you can find practice exercises, are these extra exercises that I can do next to the course ore are these already inside the course?

have a nice day!
