I'm bored.

I very much doubt Picasso created amazing paintings when he first started either ;) Keep at it and you will improve as your knowledge and confidence does.

If you don't like the design aspect then perhaps research other areas that may interest you more and that you can move onto after you have completed the html and css parts.

I agree with Kirill and Jonathan in terms of at least knowing and understanding HTML and CSS, and the OP did state they knew these already. It should be understood that while someone may completely understand the mechanics of the subjects, we all know it is more than just knowing the codes. Some people very much struggle with the aesthetics of web design. While practice can certainly help...it may not be a strength leading to expertise. What I have witnessed from working with others over the years...that their strengths may lay in other areas such as the development aspect.

I know plenty of developers that can write some mind-blowing scripts...and yet have them turn around and attempt to implement that into a web page...not happening. I think everyone strives to be an expert in every area, and I'm not so sure this is possible. I think it's more likely to be the case of knowledgeable in all areas, and expert in a few.

HTML and CSS are pretty much crucial, I;m afraid if you want to get into the game. I've finished the HTML and CSS parts of the track and I'm getting to the design parts now and I feel like I'm finally getting onto the more "exciting" parts of Treehouse.

Not that I'm saying HTML and CSS aren't exciting but I knew a lot of the material in the track already. I can't wait to go deeper into what Treehouse has to offer.

The boredom will not last long. :)
