1,474 PointsIllustrative logo is about mascots only?
Hi guys. I wonder about the difference between the mark logo and the illustrative one. Does illustrative logo always represent mascots?

I couldn't find an example of a strictly illustrative logo; many vivid logos have an illustrative logo or a mark logo, with type attached but slightly separate. See the KFC logo when it includes Colonel Sanders, or the Jaguar car logo when it's just the leaping jaguar. The illustrative parts in those two logos are moderately detailed, compared to something like the deer used in the John Deere tractor logo which I believe would qualify as a mark not an illustrative logo. One point I find interesting about logos is that most people could successfully draw the Nike swoosh, or even the John Deere logo, but not everyone could draw the full KFC logo without a reference image of the guy.

Illustrative logos doesn't always represent mascots, you can see some examples here http://www.graphicsfuel.com/2010/08/40-brilliantly-illustrated-logo-designs/ . It's the illustration (drawing) what makes illustrative logos
