Welcome to Treehouse!
The challenge engine already has the console and class set up, you just need to define the variable of the type the challenge wants, in this case a string, not a string array. Something like:
String firstName = "Your First Name";
The challenge instructions in almost all of the courses here at Treehouse are rather explicit in what they want entered, and how they want them. So if the challenge is asking to define a variable, we generally don't have to do all of the other stuff like classes, etc. If we need to define a class that will typically be the first task of the challenge.
