If you have been here on treehouse for more than 6 months, how have your experience been?Did the courses helped you IRL?

Learning on this platform is pretty good and I really like it here. I wanted to know from the members who have been here for more than 6 months or a year about how has it been?

Did going through all those courses, helped you out in real life?

Did they made you better at what you are doing?

Did they got you a job or a promotion if you already were employed?

While I haven't landed the job I'm looking for just yet, I personally haven't been looking while learning.

I've spent a lot of time just reviewing courses on the Python track over the last year, and while I've learned a lot, it's just helped me realize how much there really is to learn, and kind of help define where I'd like to end up after I'm done here.

That said, it's definitely brought me to the point where even at work, during my breaks, I'm reading books on programming and reaching to further my knowledge of the subject. I think Treehouse does a great job at being a primary source of knowledge, but I don't think this alone will land me the jobs I'm interested in. It seems to be more a springboard, to help get you there, and than a train ticket right to success - but I do love Treehouse! I started with just the intent to learn a new programming language, and I've actually ended up with an entirely new goal altogether, so I'm grateful for the time spent learning here on Treehouse, and I'm definitely gonna keep up with their content.
