3,488 PointsIf Statements in Swift
For this challenge, we'd like to know in a range of values from 1 to 100, how many numbers are both odd, and a multiple of 7.
To start us off, I've written a for loop to iterate over the desired range of values and named the local constant n. Your job is to write an if statement inside the for loop to carry out the desired checks.
If the number is both an odd number and a multiple of 7, append the value to the results array provided.
Hint: To check for an odd number use the not operator to check for "not even"
I do not understand this question. How do I get the odd numbers? How do I get the even numbers? What code would I write to get the desired numbers to pop up?
var results: [Int] = []
var multiples: [Int] = []
for n in 1...100 {
// Enter your code below
// End code
}

Front End Web Development Techdegree Graduate 33,271 Pointsthe modulo operator % aka remainder operator return the remainder of division. so 5 % 2 is 1 because 2 goes into 5 2 times with a remainder of 1. any odd number divided by 2 has a remainder of 1, so if x % 2 == 1, x is odd. same for multiples of 7, if x % 7 == 0, x is a multiple of 7, because we have divided by 7 and there is no remainder.
