3,030 Pointsif (firstExample==secondExample ) { console.printf("first is equal to second"); } why won't this work
Why isn't this the correct code
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if (firstExample.equals(secondExample) )
{
console.printf("first is equal to second");
System.exit(0);
}

Treehouse TeacherHi there, Lohith Ram! Your code is fine and would run outside of the challenge. However, it's doing something extra that the challenge did not ask it to do. Namely, it is exiting. Removing the System.exit(0);
should cause this to pass. Remember when doing these challenges to only do what it asks for and no more. Even if it would work outside the challenge, it can break the challenge.
Hope this helps!
