977 PointsI would like to mention as someone who is dyslexic, similar symbols will still mix together.
hello, this is more for that section that is false making symbols look more distinct can help a user but if they are like symbols that will not help with dyslexia. it will help with people who have issues seeing but dyslexia is the Litteral mix-up of like symbols and objects your brain sees no difference when there is or completely blanks the component. (think a sentence missing a word or a word missing a letter or a word with an odd letter, there are more examples.) This can affect words shapes etc. so a 1 looking more like a 1 will not help someone who is dyslexic. making the 1 maybe a different color or size or bold will but just a 1 that looks like a 1 instead of an lowercase L will not help that disorder. I have gone into design due to the misrepresentation of the disorder and the fixes that help. we get lumped into visual disorders and its not a vision issue it is what our brain does with the image. so making it look more like itself wont help you have to think further outside the box especially when getting into the different types of dyslexia. the same fix will not work for someone who has issues with numbers as someone with letters as someone who mixes up both.
