Courses Plus Student 6,506 PointsI would like to be an intern for a couple of months for a UX/UI Design company/ or any takers?
I'm currently an front end developer whom has been researching the UX/UI and IA fields for about 3 months. I've noticed that within the UX/UI or IA field that most of the successful UI designers or UX developers each had a mentor or guide to learn from.
I feel the need to go into a Internship for 1-2 months within a small or large UX/UI Firm/Company/Group or even under a freelance UX Developer/UI Designer in NYC in order to use this info I obtained. I have only one personal trainer website under my belt at the moment(www.Mckaystrength.com) and most of my training consists of Treehouse, Codecademy.com and various articles, tutorials, and eBooks on Information Architecture, and User Experience/User Interface. I can help out with wireframes, target user Personas, Mock ups, I can code in HTML, CSS , a little bit of JavaScript , and I'm currently learning PHP and MySQL. I've have an understanding of user research so with little supervising I can get that done as well.
I would like an Internship as entry level UX Developer and if that's to much to ask for I would simply like to obverse a professional experienced UX developer. I know this may not be the most appropriate place to post this , but during my time here in team treehouse the forums seem to always give me positive results or feedback on anything I asked within the design fields of course so I figure I give it a shot.
