I want to make fitness-social media native mobile application like Strava, Runtastic, etc

I signed up last two year ago and decided to pause my enrollment because lack of time to study. Other than that, I want to study straight ahead to what I am going to do. Finally, I made up my mind and came up with the best idea I want to make it happen. I want to make a fitness -social media native app that will track progress, use map to show location other app user (perhaps 10km - 50km radius), match profile with other user to request/add friends (idea from what Tinder app has but not the same).

On the other hand, I have made project study and project proposal about my big project. And I am open for a collaboration / investors for this project since I am not claiming that I have all the best idea and most of all finances.

P.S. How to protect our idea from someone who wants to steal it?

I don't know much about how to do this, but why not check out the techdegree tracks and see which projects are similar to yours. I saw on the flask course that there is an exercise with building a social app. Also, don't worry about people stealing your app. I know someone who works at a tech incubator who said that this idea and fear that someone will "steal" my idea is ridiculous. Mainly because whatever it is you want to do, it is likely that someone else has thought of it already, or worse, is already doing it.
