839 PointsI want to create a windows desktop program. Where do I start?
I've scratched the surface of most programming languages, and know that it's not difficult to create a "Hello World" program in any of them. However, I now wish to try creating a "Hello World" desktop program for windows.
I have no idea where to start with this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've found a sort of tutorial for this on the Microsoft website, but it is specific to C++. If I wanted to use Java instead, is this possible? If so, how?

Courses Plus Student 129 PointsIt depends on which operating system you are making the application for. If you are making it for Mac OS you need to use Swift or Objective-C. If you are making Windows applications, you can use Java or C#. But now there are new tools like Electron that allows you to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (all languages to make a website), to make a desktop application on any operating system.
