I still don't understand what's the point of the init methods.

Since we can create structure instances as well as call functions/methods without them, it just seems like an extra unnecessary code.

Hey Kristofers Dundurs,

Initializers are very important! When using structures, their importance may be overlooked because of the memberwise initializer that Swift provides us with automatically. The structures still have initializers, we just don't see them because we are not explicitly defining them on our own.

If we wanted to create a custom initializer with different functionality than the default implementation the memberwise initializer provides, this is where you would see the benefit of writing your own custom initializer.

Good Luck!
