Java Java Basics Perfecting the Prototype String Equality

I still can't do equal firstExample and secondExample

It still doesn't work

Equality.java
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if (firstExample.(equals)secondExample); {
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
}

Your semicolon is in the wrong location. Also, the brackets around equals should be around secondExample. Last three lines of your code should read as:

if (firstExample.equals(secondExample)) {
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
};

Remember, the everything within the curly braces is still part of the statement that the braces occur in, so the semicolon has to come after them. Think of it as one long, complicated line that ends after the }.

thank you
