Hi fatma;

After reviewing the code you left it looks like there are two issue that could help you pass this challenge. The question asked us to set the background to black and the text to white. However, in the code you posted you left the background white and changed the text to white as well as adding a background color to the text. I have found two ways to pass the challenge one with the android preset of white and the other with the custom color. Since either pass the style is up to you and how you want your code to look.

XML with custom background color

<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
  android:layout_width="match_parent"
  android:layout_height="match_parent"
  android:background="#fff092b0" >

  <TextView
    android:id="@+id/textView1"
    android:layout_width="wrap_content"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
    android:layout_centerVertical="true"
    android:text="Treehouse loves me!"
    android:textSize="72sp"
    android:textColor="@android:color/white"
    />

XML with preset android color

<RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
  android:layout_width="match_parent"
  android:layout_height="match_parent"
  android:background="@android:color/black" >

  <TextView
    android:id="@+id/textView1"
    android:layout_width="wrap_content"
    android:layout_height="wrap_content"
    android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"
    android:layout_centerVertical="true"
    android:text="Treehouse loves me!"
    android:textSize="72sp"
    android:textColor="@android:color/white"
    />
