1,718 PointsI keep on seeing red highlighted code for code that I am sure is correct, is this a bug or is my code wrong?
Here is my code, excuse the lack of imagination, I've pretty much copied Nick's apart from my Facebook link... I'm stumped as to why this is red and my social link pics don't seem to show up either.
What comes up red: The closing </h1> tag The final three closing tags for footer, body and html.

19,579 PointsHi Izzy,
This is why that piece of code is highlighted.
<a href="index.html" <!-- You forgot to finish this tag -->
<h1>Izzy Reely</h1>
It should be,
<a href="index.html">
<h1>Izzy Reely</h1>
Hope this helps.

1,718 PointsHi Deneen, thanks for your input also, unfortunately when I copy and pasted my code my equal signs did not copy across, but I do have them in the code, so I am still unsure why this has happened, it's ok though, It doesn't seem to be causing my work to be broken, it's just annoying that I have the red highlighted code!

1,718 PointsHi folks, just an update to say thanks and let you know I found the faults in my code - what I had missed on two occasions was that my backslash was incorrectly placed a couple of times in closing attribute tags - e.g. <a/> . Many thanks for your answers though!

1,718 PointsHi Wayne, thanks for your input, that certainly fixed the </h1> tag from being highlighted. However, as soon as I fixed that omission, the </footer> tag suddenly appeared highlighted in red. I don't understand why as both the opening and closing header tags are complete as far as I can see...
