JavaScript Object-Oriented JavaScript Object Basics Filling Out the Play Method

i keep getting this error. Don't know what the problem is

question asked to create an open if statement and check if its players turn to play?

object.js
const player1 = {
    name: 'Ashley',
    color: 'purple',
    isTurn: true,
    play: function(){
          if( player1.isTurn = true){
          }
    }
}

Couple things:

  • In the if statement's condition you're not testing for equivalence. This isn't the place for the assignment operator (=)
  • Looks like the challenge wants you to refer to the object using the this keyword, instead of its variable name
