I keep getting the "You have not passed task 1 error" when I haven't changed task 1's passing element

Question

Im not particularly sure if this error is my fault or a system bug but I've been stuck here for half a day trying to figure out what I am doing wrong

  private int lapsDriven;

    this.color = color;

    return color;

    barCount = MAX_BARS;

    return barCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return MAX_BARS == barCount;
  }

  public void drive() {
    return lapsDriven+=;
  }
}

It says that because of the way those automated tests work. Your class no longer compiles, so none of the tests pass, including for task 1.

Two small mistakes that make the compiler complain:

You're returning an int, so the return type of your method should be int, not void
The '+=' operator is for when you're adding something else than 1, and you need to specify what you're adding to the variable. For example 'lapsDriven += 3;' To increment by one, the correct operator is '++'
