22,624 PointsAs a developer you will be using command lines, arguments and arrays all the time. A lot of the programs that developers use will be accessible via the terminal aka the command line. Lots of back end development work will happen here. Eventually, you might even write your own scripts to automate things that run via the command line.
This is true even as a web developer. You will install a lot of your front end and back end packages via npm which is part of Node.js. If you are doing machine learning and data analysis, you will definitely be accessing the terminal from time to time.
