768 PointsI have Sublime Text 2. Is there any benefit to using the workspaces on this site for my learning projects over sublime?
I always use the same computer to code, and besides I have dropbox anyways, so they'd still be accessible anywhere, plus I use always use the same comp anyways.
Also, I miss a lot of the time saving features of sublime text 2.
But a the same time, if there is a benefit I'm not getting of the workspaces in relation to my progress on the website, I'd like to know.

Courses Plus Student 27,349 PointsHi Christopher, great to see you in the Treehouse forums.
Both are good and I guess its a personal choice. The workspaces are great if you are just starting out as a beginner and has many of the same functionality we come to expect from a editor.
You can fork workspaces so if you happen to be following along with a course, and you want to vary on the existing project its pretty easy to do. By default you can also store your projects and subject work in workspaces as it acts as a "cloud space" for code so to speak.
That being said, at some point you will want to start using your own editor, doubly so if you plan to utilize your skills in the workforce or for some other live working situation. I personally use Sublime Text 3 and have never looked back since.
Sometimes for convenience, I use the workspaces, other times when I move on with my own projects outside of Treehouse, I use sublime.
It's entirely a personal preference.
Happy coding!
