HTML How to Make a Website Creating HTML Content Use the Navigation Element

I have followed the steps for navigation and links, but my page is not showing the 3 navigation items??

I did SAVE the index.html file, and I tried refreshing the page, but clicking the preview button still doesn't give the 3 unordered items. I also don't have my name and the word Designer showing up as a hyperlink. I compared my code to the code in the video, and it looks EXACTLY the same except for my personal name. Stumped!

I also ran the code thru the validator, just to be sure I didn't miss a closing bracket or something, but it only gave me a "warning" that the SECTION should have a h1-h6 element.

Cheryl,

I copied and pasted your code into my workspace and it worked fine. Maybe its just something weird going on with your workspace. Try this:

  • Highlight your code and copy it
  • Delete the index.html file
  • Create a new file named index.html
  • Paste your code into the new index.html file and save it.

Then, preview it to see if it shows correctly.

provide us with the code so we can help, when starting out in programming, its easy to think the code looks exactly the same when you could've missed just one symbol, etc. so provide us with the code
