6,976 PointsYou placed your unordered list into the wrong html element. The directions state place it in the section element element but you added it to an already existing unorder list in the nav element.
Try this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Nick Pettit</title>
</head>
<body>
<header>
<a href="index.html">
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
</a>
<nav>
<ul>
<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
</ul>
</nav>
</header>
<section>
<ul>
<li></li>
<li></li>
<li></li>
</ul>
</section>
<footer>

</footer>
</body>
</html>
