10,402 PointsI have an existing logo which is a rectangle and I want to change it to a rounded rectangle on photoshop
I have already had a logo designed for a mobile app I am working on.
It currently has right angled corners and its dimension are 1047px by 1010px.
I would like to change it so it is 1000px by 1000px and has rounded corners which are each 200px.
I have tried changing it on photoshop and I have been able to create the desired shape by using the rounded rectangle tool to create a new layer.
However when I save the logo, the parts that I no longer want still appear in the saved image. How can I ensure that I only have the rounded rectangle for my logo and exclude all previous outer aspects?

There are two things that may be causing this.
The logo in photoshop must only have transparent pixels behind its corners. Typically, this is indicated by a gray and white checker pattern.
The logo must be saved as a file format that supports transparency, such as PNG. If you're trying to save to a JPG, photoshop will negate the transparency in the image, filing it with a solid color.
Hope that helps!

Courses Plus Student 2,533 PointsYou have to edit the 'original' image. If your addition overrides the original, try merging the two. I'm assuming your original logo is .png or .jpg format already.
