We are instructed to create a folder called local_wp into our Sites folder where we have our new testSite.com folder.
I don't see where we were to create a "site" folder. My testSite.com folder is in the htdocs folder per last tutorial .
So should I change the name of my htdocs folder to sites?

The htdocs folder is synonymous with the 'sites' folder. That is to say... they are the same thing. Htdocs is just the default folder that xampp sets up to hold your websites. You could even change xampp to look to a different folder with sufficient permissions to hold your websites. Then THAT folder would be your sites folder. For the purposes of the videos... it's easier to just refer to it as the 'sites' folder.
So your testsite.com folder should exist in the htdocs folder (aka the 'sites' folder)... unless you choose at some point to change the location of your 'sites' folder from htdocs to somewhere else.
