306 PointsI got all the way to logging in, I wrote the password down and everything. It won't let me log in and it doesn't send
me a reset password login. I am so frustrated.

12,842 PointsI don't know about the downloaded version of WP, but can you log into your account with the online administrator login page (your site name/wp-login.php?)
I don't know if this would be helpful, but this walks through the login process of the locally hosted version of WP here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/find-wordpress-login/
Apparently logging into the locally hosted one is a common problem.

17,230 PointsIf you are using the most update version of Desktop Server (3.8.1). There is a built it plugin that you can enable that lets you bypass login and select a user to login with.

306 PointsThank You Abby Mann. I was able to figure it out and then create a way to use email on a locally hosted version so that I can recover/change my password. Thanks again!
