15,394 PointsI feel offended that you used the word 'crappy'
Look, I just think that you should find the correct word for articulating the situation that you are describing.

Treehouse Moderator 145,860 PointsI've had 'crappy' wifi. I've had 'crappy' food. It's a perfect descriptor used in the perfect way to convey the message perfectly and definitively. Now, it would've been different if she used it in a 'crappy' way, but...
I see NO problems with her use of 'crappy'!

17,052 PointsWould you have a problem with a client saying, "crappy?" How about the user you are researching? Limits your client/customer base, and skews your perspective of the users.
While certainly not a "p.c." word, it actually speaks volumes to me! It's an emotional word, it's in the common vernacular of a younger generation (under 50?), and it even shows some lack of technological knowledge (how is a connection "crappy"). These things are all very important when analyzing and understanding the client and user.
