I don`t understand why on the console.printf line it shows a error/ wrong syntax.

Is something wrong with the Strings ?

IO.java
// I have imported java.io.Console for you. It is a variable called console.fir
String firstName = console.readLine("What is your name?");
String lastName = console.readLine("What is your last name?");
console.printf = ("First name: s%",firstName);

Hey Oskar,

It looks like you're trying to assign the printf method to the value of ("First name: s%",firstName);. Instead, take away the assignment operator and back up a few spaces. You also want to use %s and not s%.

String firstName = console.readLine("What is your name?");
String lastName = console.readLine("What is your last name?");
console.printf("First name: %s",firstName);
