Hey there,

your code is actually perfectly fine but the challenge wants you to just nest the images inside of the list items and you're nesting the images inside of anchor elements and you're also adding paragraphs with text.

If you remove the paragraphs and remove the anchor tags around the images it should work.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Nick Pettit</title>
  </head>
  <body>
    <header>
      <a href="index.html">
        <h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
        <h2>Designer</h2>
      </a>
      <nav>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
          <li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
        </ul>
      </nav>
    </header>
    <section>
      <ul>
        <li>
            <img src="numbers-01.jpg" alt="">
        </li>
        <li>
            <img src="numbers-02.jpg" alt="">
        </li>
        <li>
            <img src="numbers-06.jpg" alt="">
        </li>
      </ul>
    </section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>
    </footer>
  </body>
</html>

I hope that helps! :)
