You're pretty much there with your code. However, you've called getStringExtra
, where you want to pull an integer through from the other activity. The "FUEL_LEVEL
" string is a key to obtaining the integer. So, use getIntExtra
instead. Pass in the key, as you have done, but also provide a default value, in case the retrieval fails, so you need to give a second parameter, which is an integer. Use -1, perhaps. Set mFuelLevel
to the retrieved value.
This looks like:
Intent intent = getIntent();
mFuelLevel = intent.getIntExtra("FUEL_LEVEL", -1);
