Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

I don't understand how to do this...

I know how to declare floats but I am sure on how to apply it here. Can someone please help me out with this task.

Well, I figured it out myself it is def add(a, b): a = float(a) b = float(b) return a + b
