Well it wasn't clear which question you were referring to, so I took the liberty to address all, given I had some ample amount of free time this evening :)

Challenge 1

Write an HTML doctype. ----- doctype is a way to tell the browser which version of html you are using. Since the videos are written using HTML five. Also DOCTYPE must always be in uppercase and should be preceded by an exclamation mark !

Challenge 2

Create the HTML element that will serve as the document root. ----- simply add the html tags which are the root element document, i.e. everything else comes within this

     </html>

Challenge 3

Add the head and body elements to the page. ---- simply add the respective tags

<!DOCTYPE html>
      <html> 
          <head></head>
          <body></body>
     </html>

Challenge 4

Set the character set for the page. ----- character set defines how the text within the HTML is encoded. By default we use the UTF-8 . All additonal information about the website that is not displayed on the screen is between the head tag

          <head>
              <meta charset="utf-8">
         </head>
          <body></body>
     </html>

Challenge 5

Add a title element to the page. ---- simple add the title tag inside the head tag

Challenge 6

Add a header element, section element, and footer element. ----- HTML 5 has these new set of elements. Add them inside the body tag
