Courses Plus Student 21,100 PointsI do not understand why the Portfolio list item doesn't link to index.html in the code
Just check the code, I do not see the mistake.

19,311 PointsIt should be working fine, although one thing I've noticed is your entire nav is wrapped in an Anchor tag
eg:
<header>
<a href="index.html"> <!-- ANCHOR STARTS HERE - REMOVE THIS -->
<h1>Nick Pettit</h1>
<h2>Designer</h2>
<nav>
<ul>
<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>
</ul>
</nav>
</a><!-- ANCHOR ENDS HERE - REMOVE THIS -->
</header>

25,370 PointsThat's odd. I could have sworn I saw someone do this a month or 2 ago while going through the same course.

25,370 PointsAh I see, Jamie you have to make sure you read the questions carefully. It states to create your
nav
element "after the link inside the header." If not read carefully I can see how this one could be confusing.
