i Cant create a similar file as Craig. IntelliJ is only allowing me to create Messy.iml instead of Messy.java

My IntelliJ IDEA seems totally different from the one used by the Teacher on Tree house. I try creating a new file and it always defaults my file extension name to .iml instead .java. And with this I cant do any refactoring or any other challenge for that matter.
