I cannot get my files to open in the workspace _ I have them on the tree but when I click on them I do not get a tab

I know this is fundamental, bear with me!

Are you trying to open the file from the terminal? If so try /open and the name of the file you want to open. For example, if the file is called Example...in the terminal you may want to write

/open Example...

It's also important to note that this is done when you are in jshell.
