Development Tools Git Basics Getting Started With Git Committing Changes

I cannot figure out how to get out of a commit message. I type git commit and it takes me to nano, but i can't get back

I hit (control) x and it brings up this strange menu that is unlike the one in the video.

Sound like your are using Windows? If so:

Bring up a command-line at the bottom of the page via: SHIFT + q

Type q!
