I can not find the r class/folder under the source folder

Already cleaned & rebuild the project, but the r class/folder is still missing.

I had the same issue (I'm running through this using Android Studio 3.3). I was able to find r.java at the following path in the project view window:

FunFacts/app/build/generated/not_namespaced_r_class_sources/debug/processDebugResources/r/com/example/funfacts/R.java
