How do you make a determination "compared to others" when everything is self-paced? And your expectations might not be entirely realistic, particularly for learning to code for the first time. There's quite a lot to absorb.

And I would not recommend tackling two languages at the same time, the differences in syntax would likely become sources of confusion in both studies.

Don't compare yourself to others, for a start. Everyone learns at their own pace, and it's entirely possible the people you're comparing yourself to already have programming experience.

Don't be afraid to repeat lessons, or to work on improving on the challenges or projects you're given. The more you practice, the more you'll grasp the material. If you get stuck on a project, don't be afraid to ask for hints rather than answers.

Like Steven Parker - I would also dissuade you from attempting to learn two languages concurrently. Particularly if this is your first foray into programming, trying to tackle multiple languages at once is likely to make it even harder to learn. Just like learning French and Spanish at the same time could cause confusion, trying to learn Java and Python could cause similar issues.
