637 PointsI am stuck in this task can somebody tell me my mistake?
The task says "We should handle cases where we get a non-number, though. Add a try block before where you turn your arguments into floats. Then add an except to catch the possible ValueError. Inside the except block, return None. If you're following the structure from the videos, add an else: for your final return of the added floats."I wrote this but the bummer says"Try again!". Can somebody tell me my mistake
try:
def add(num1, num2):
return(float(num1) + float(num2))
except ValueError:
return(None)
else:
return(float(num1) + float(num2))

Courses Plus Student 10,367 PointsHi,, your try execpt and else should be inside of your function, and you have an extra () on your return's
def add(one , two):
try:
return float(one) + float(two)
except ValueError:
return None
else:
return float(one) + float(two)
hope this helps
