I am encountering problems trying to use git bash and git plus in Atom

I have been working with learning git and it was fine for awhile until my text editor started crashing when I tried to open a file from the command line. After running through countless forums, checking stack overflow, git issues, atom discussion boards I have lost the ability to use git bash or to use git plus or git terminal from Atom. I have tried setting my Path to point to atom so it would work in my command line but that proved unsuccessful. I walked through uninstalling and reinstalling and everything in between. I can not seem to make atom recognize git to add, commit or push remotely or make git bash sync up with atom. Some errors i encounter are bash: atom: command not found, invalid remote origin, error: src refspec master does not match any for command line and in Atom git is not recognized , git is in invalid entry form , git is not recognized as an internal or external command. I have ran all these through searches and followed the documentation that I found to sort through the issues but have still been unsuccessful. I have been working on the issue for a week and a half now if anyone has ran into these issues before or has a source they found helpful I would appreciate being pushed in that direction.
