I added a new module but it did not come with an .idea folder.

In the transcript you say... 2:40 Modules contain everything that is required for there specific task, and

2:43 they come with an idea folder.

2:44 This .Ideafolder.

2:46 It contains files about how you like your editor setup.

2:49 They also have an IML file here, and

2:51 it keeps project specific settings in one place.

I'd also like to know what the difference between editor setting and project settings are. Editor settings in an idea folder look like they may be project specific since they come inside the project folder.

Editor setting will be applied to all projects opened in the editor. Project settings are specific for each project
