How would you develop this Augmented Reality App?

An app that scans some barcodes and shows 2D/3D augmented reality animation over the barcode based on which barcode it is.

I am a new developer and Treehouse student. I am starting this project which I have no idea how to build but I am determined to build it while taking treehouse course.

What technologies do I use, What concepts do I need to learn?

That's pretty advanced stuff for a beginner. Nevertheless it's always good to have an ambitious goal :)

Start with taking the Game Development track and just take it all in. At the end there is an Virtual Reality section so that would be very interesting to know about basic positioning etc. And search YouTube for tutorials on Augmented Reality in Unity.
