5,744 PointsHow to you format a list from a string operation?
I feel like I am having trouble trying use the .format() operation to fill in the list for the menu variable. The console is telling me that it didn't find sundaes and commas in 'menu'. Here's the code that i use.
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(sundae)
', '.join(sundaes)
Is there something wrong with my code? I will be looking forward to the feedback.
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}."
str(', '.join(sundaes))

Treehouse Moderator 68,441 PointsThe last task of the challenge is asking you to add formatting to menu
. You have the string construct correct, let's apply it to the menu
string:
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(";")
string = ', '.join(sundaes) # <-- join outputs a str. no need to call str()
# Add format to menu to fill in {} field
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(string)
