How to update changes in wordpress local server to live server

Hey everyone, I have seen the first video series on wordpress development.

I have set up a local server and a live server.

But one question I have is lets say that I make edits on my local wp server, and that I'd like the edits to reflect on my live server.

Does the live server reflect the changes automatically? If not, how would I update the changes I made from the local server to the live server?

Are you referring to content added through the WP dashboard or changes made to your templates / code?

I don't know of any ways that changes in your local environment would automatically update the live server. You usually upload your code changes to the server. If you've got a live site with content then you should really only enter content there and then back up the site.
