71,830 PointsFirst, you need to start the function. It should have a return type of int, as you will be returning a count. Second, it should have a formal parameter: char tile, as you will be passing it a tile, e.g. 'M'. Then you need a variable inside the function to keep track of the count, and a for loop to iterate over the tiles in mHand. You can get the individual letters in mHand using charAt(). If a letter matches tile then increment count.
public int getTileCount(char tile){
int count = 0;
for (int i = 0; i < mHand.length(); i++) {
if(mHand.charAt(i) == tile){
count++;
}
}
return count;
}
