12,138 PointsHow To Read MySQL Documentation/Reference?
When going to the MySQL Documentation on mysql.com (or dev.mysql.com/doc for slightly more specifics), I find it a little bit more difficult to understand than the docs for HTML/CSS/Javascript/PHP and all of those. For example, I find the documentation for the INSERT syntax to be a bit complex:
INSERT [LOW_PRIORITY | DELAYED | HIGH_PRIORITY] [IGNORE]
[INTO] tbl_name
[PARTITION (partition_name,...)]
[(col_name,...)]
{VALUES | VALUE} ({expr | DEFAULT},...),(...),...
[ ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE
col_name=expr
[, col_name=expr] ... ]
I would love to get better at understanding the docs there, but I'm not sure where to start! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
